Welcome, my Mind Mapping warriors. This TEST page gives you a chance to test your equipment for the SPOKEN discipline in the World Mind Mapping Championship.
This discipline requires all competitors to download an MP3 audio file 10 minutes before the Spoken Discipling starts. Competitors are required to play the audio file while using headphones or earbuds. Competitors will be asked to remove their earpieces once the audio time has elapsed.
Competitors are allowed to listen to the audio only once. While the audio is playing, competitors are encouraged to take notes in any way they feel comfortable. Of course, you can take notes by using a Mind Map. Paper will be supplied for note taking and official Min d Map paper will be supplied for your final Mind Map.
Any notes they have taken can be kept by the competitor until the end of the discipline. The total time for this discipling is two hours.

The audio download file below is NOT the audio that will be used in the competition.
It is a TEST FILE that you can download onto your device, such as a phone, tablet, or computer.
You should test the following:
- Choose the language of your choice. All languages will cover the same material, and the listening time will be almost the same for every language.
- Record how long it takes to download the file. If it takes longer than 10 minutes, please see an arbiter to arrange alternative methods of download.
- Listen to the audio using headphones or earbuds. You CANNOT listen to the audio from your device’s speaker, as it will disrupt other competitors.
- Ensure you have heard the audio file clearly.
On the competition day, you will be allowed time to download the competition audio. Arbiters will be present to help you if needed. During the download time, you are not permitted to use your headphones or earbuds for testing purposes. This should have been completed when downloading the test audio.
